Welcome to a year of renewed vision, of intentional celebrations and mindful rest - a little feasting, a little celebrating, and a little dancing in the aisles of our lives.  Our theme this year is an exciting one, and I am so happy to have you on this journey with us.

Life is not always what we imagined it would be, so I want to be clear that this year is not about pretending challenges, difficulty and even heart ache do not exist. Our year together is not about living with our heads buried in the sand or our eyes blissfully closed to reality.  It’s about regaining eyes to see the beauty that does exists around us and choosing to celebrate the moments that we often miss.

Together we want to adopt a lifestyle of thanksgiving and celebration and experience the change this will make in us and our families.  Too often over the past few years I have allowed my focus to become the fatigue and stress that accompany being a mom of little ones and the wife of an incredibly hardworking man. Disillusioned and disbelieving that flourishing was possible in my own private desert, I have missed opportunities to revel in the people, life and world around me.

Choosing to flourish is not so much about the circumstances that surround us, but about our response to them, our approach as we walk through them, and our reliance on the One who walks with us.  This year, I hope you will be inspired to consider God’s goodness, to celebrate milestones large and small in your life, and to embrace those things that feed your soul.  My prayer is that we will have eyes to see as we never have before.  May our rallying cry become “Crumbs into feasts and moments into celebrations!”

Cheers!

Rachel
